The Cloud Platform Engineering is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions' Software Enterprise division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world. Our services leverage Cloud Computing infrastructure on Azure to build at scale.

We are looking for a dynamic Software Engineer to join our Cloud Excellence Team in driving the integration of cutting edge technologies and AI systems into our Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) services. This critical role will support key strategic initiatives, including service improvement, cross-platform integration, enhancing our offerings, developing AI-based predictive models, and creating LLM solutions for organization specific needs.

Basic Requirements
----------------------

Responsibilities will include:

• Write pipelines to gather, clean and organize data from different sources.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify interesting features and deliver business insights by analyzing complex multi-dimensional data sets.
• Code RESTful services to build different use-cases for data inference and interpretation.
• Researching and implementing off-the-shelf ML algorithms and tools particularly for time-series data.
• Communicate complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders to inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent degree) with 3+ years of professional software development with a focus on applied machine learning and/or data analytics.
• Strong experience in building systems for collecting, validating, and preparing high-quality data.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science libraries in Python (preferred) or R.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their machine learning platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with Spark.
• Some experience with MLOps is a plus
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts especially time series analysis.
• Understanding of neural networks and deep learning algorithms.
• Experience with advanced text, image or video analytics is a plus
• Knowledge of deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Interest in reading academic papers and trying to implement state-of-the-art experimental systems.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
