Job Description

Ford Credit's Tech Team in India is seeking an experienced and passionate Full Stack Automation Engineer to lead our Test Automation Center of Excellence (COE). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for establishing, leading, and managing the organization's test automation strategy, standards, and practices. You will drive the adoption of test automation across all development teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through efficient and effective automated testing solutions. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in full-stack test automation, with a proven track record of building and scaling test automation frameworks, leading teams, and driving cultural change within a dynamic technology environment.

Required Skills:

Must Have:


Strong Scripting knowledge in Java, Python, Java Script and Groovy . Must have hands on Experience in Developing Automation Framework for UI using +

Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cucumber BDD,Restassured, Tosca, Playwright and Cypress.

Experience in using build tools - Gradle, Maven and Testing Framework like TestNG. Must have Experience in Performance testing tools such

as LoadRunner or JMeter.

Must have Experience in GitHub and GITActions Must have experience in API Automation using Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured for APIs and web services and microservice architecture. Very strong experience in CI/CD pipeline (preferred - Tekton & Cloudbuild & Jenkins). Must have Public cloud experience especially GCP. Must have working experience in Mobile cloud like Headspin, Perfecto etc. Must have muti channel integration experience. Hands on experience in to compute engine, prefrabely GCP Cloud Run and Kubernetes / Containers. Must have experience in DB validation [OnPrem and Cloud DB QL, etc] Must have strong knowledge in data visualisation via

and

QlikSense

. Ability to work in diversified global projects Experience in Test management tools like Xray, TestRail, ALM. Must have experience in Jira.
Nice to Have:


Knowledge on Current Market Trends about the Automation tools and Framework Exposure to Unix and Linux environment Exposure to Monitoring tools like Grafana. Exposures to AI tools like GenAI

Strategy Development:


Establish and lead the test automation strategy for Ford Credit's applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Define and implement test automation standards, best practices, and guidelines.
Framework Development & Modernization:


Develop and expand test automation and test frameworks, modernizing them to align with DevOps principles. Enhance existing frameworks to integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines, including developing DevOps solutions for automating testing tasks and breaking builds on failures.
CI/CD Integration & Quality Assurance:


Design quality gates and checkpoints for automated builds within the CI/CD pipeline. Build a comprehensive testing strategy covering the entire application stack, including unit, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
Software Testing & Validation:


Conduct software testing, verification, and validation to reduce production defects and incidents caused by changes. Continuously improve strategies and tests to ensure optimal test coverage and efficient quality engineering practices.
Collaboration & Coordination:


Collaborate with Product Owners and Software Engineers to define testing requirements for new applications/features, driving automation development accordingly. Ensure the existence of adequate, comprehensive, and obfuscated test data specific to Ford Credit products.
Test Documentation & Compliance:


Create and maintain testing evidence, ensuring compliance with all audit requirements. Identify and promote the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, observability, eventing, and maintainability.
Business Improvement & Support:


Leverage technology to improve business outcomes and streamline processes. * Support development teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
