Our Data Experience team consists of collaborative, inclusive, and creative individuals. We develop cloud-native services with high reliability and massive scale on top of Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode) the most distributed and closest to the edge cloud platform.

Partner with the best

You will work at the heart of building and operating an observability stack on top of the next-generation cloud computing platform. You will join other talented engineers in a cross-functional scrum team owning the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based services and observability products used by internal and external Akamai customers.

As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will be responsible for:

• Understanding product requirements, designing and developing highly scalable and reliable Cloud Observability managed services.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD environments.
• Cooperating with external engineering teams to build and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Have hands-on and commanding experience of developing softwares in any of the object-oriented languages (Java, Python etc).
• Have the ability to clearly communicate and drive technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Have experience with networking protocols TCP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Have attention to details and excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Experience of working with micro-services, kubernetes orchestration systems and third party clouds is a good to have.
• Have the ability to guide and mentor team members.
