For too long the ordering and procurement process within the renewable energy space has been fragmented and lack transparency. At Covento (by Vestas), we aim to change that. Our goal: a place where all buyers in the renewable space (field engineers, procurement professionals, O&M professionals, etc), can find everything from consumables to highly technical parts and services across multiple sellers. We will do this through advanced search capabilities, a streamlined payment experience, easy reconciliations, and centralized delivery notifications. We know this will be hard. But believe if we can turn the cumbersome into transparent, it will result in improved economics for our customers and Covento can assist to move the needle in solving our climate crisis. We also believe this is a multi-billion-euro opportunity. We know that many don\'t think you can do good for the world and make money- but at Covento we think otherwise and plan to prove it. Responsibilities Design and develop backend as well as frontend software components for ecommerce B2Bmarket Follow agile process, working in sprints together with rest of the team to deliver quality software components on time Ownership of software components, participate in code review process, drive unit test oriented development process Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills, participate in software upgrade process Design software technical architecture flows using design patterns Work closely with other development team, architecture team, testing team to ensure overall product quality should be creative and ability with work with partners across departments and outside, across different cultures Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of hands-on experience on Software development, especially using PHP Magento2.0 stack Good working knowledge around Linux Systems, Apache 2.0, Nginx , Solr, RabbitMQ, Redis , other AMQP techniques, MySQL, REST APIs Good understanding of common cloud providers - AWS, Azure and GCP Ability to design solutions combining more than one software component Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Python, Java, Go, Kotlin Ability to work efficiently, good communication skills 2+ years of full stack software development experience on ecommerce application domain Great sense of ownership, responsibility for ensuring highest level software quality Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, NodeJs, React, PHP, mySQL, JQuey, XML, SOAP, REST, AJAX Experience in writing middleware logic using Microsoft Azure services, Magento, Salesforce, Mirakl, Google Analytics, CRM, SAP ERP, external payment provider systems Understanding of the renewable energy space, supply chains, and procurement industry, experience from B2B Ecommerce is plus Magento opensource API development experience Experience in troubleshooting with Dynatrace, ELK or similar tools Competencies Effective at working cross-functional with different stakeholders at different organizational levels High sense for quality software systems and processes, with the balance of leveraging what exists and breaking and building new when it makes the most sense Values productivity and efficiency over activity. Willing to prepare to do good work and create something new to proactively problem solve Has a strong bias for action and ability to continually optimize in real time as software system evolves Values clarity and collaborations with peers and employees, ensuring benefit for the entire organization, not just for the individual or department Data-oriented mindset. Always look for data upfront supporting the decisions and the design as well as design for that all solutions, no matter small or large, can be monitored after implementation Fluency in English.
