We are looking for Technical lead for our IoT engineering team in Bangalore, India. This role is responsible for the design of services within Control Center that directly address the immediate needs of our customers, and also complement our strategic direction (both conforming to, and helping to define). The person must be very capable in problem solving with a balanced mix of technical and business skills such as handling customer expectations and mentoring internal engineering teams. What You\'ll Do You will be an Engineer at Jasper Cisco ensure that our mission-critical services are healthy and working as encouraged by our customers this includes proactive monitoring, coding, and planning for taking care of unexpected emergencies. Who You\'ll Work With As a Engineer you work with the engineering team and will have a good background in, and understanding of, software systems, with the ability to work closely with the rest of the Engineering team from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues. The ideal candidate will be passionate about this role which involves deep knowledge of both the application and the product, and they will also believe that automation is key to operating large-scale systems. Who You Are Bachelor\'s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering subject area (MS preferred) The Software Engineer will primarily provide hands-on development and integration efforts that are part of the engineering group at Cisco IoT BU. Responsibilities : Analyzing software, and system requirements and implementation Developing and testing code Identifying and resolving anomalies during test on various software and system-level platforms Identifying and implementing required software modifications Participating in technical reviews of software products Working with software development peers, authorities, and wireless engineers Proving on-call diagnostic/fixing support for features developed Skills A bachelors degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering subject area (MS preferred) Minimum 4-8 Years of Software Experience Minimum 4+ Years in Java related technologies (Java J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices) Experience in Container/Orchestrator Technologies (Docker, Kubernets) is preferred. Experience working with small teams in an agile development environment Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience with SQL relational databases Practical experience in Object Oriented Design (OOD) Network programming experience Experience of working with distributed team members in different timezones Excellent communication skills for peer-to-peer and peer-to-leadership communication Experience in handling change in priorities, scope and technologies Ability to work with broad requirements and ask the right questions to clarify Some travel may be required (anticipate less than 20 days per year) Self-motivated and able to work well independently and in a team environment Availability and capability to provide on-call diagnostic/troubleshooting support for features developed Strong communication and documentation skills Experience working in support environment as a team member or a lead Flexible team-oriented attitude able to adapt to changing requirements Why Cisco At Cisco, each person brings their different talents to work as a team and make a difference.
