Your responsibilities are collaborating with teams to ensure that the services and platform has sufficient capacity to meet current and future demands while remaining performant and resilient leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices. You are expected to be involved on the entire SDLC lifecycle stages.Our Quality and Test Engineering team operate in Quality assist model where each product team is responsible for the quality of the services that they delivery. We work with all teams to support them in delivering quality and test engineering best practices, and quality outcomes. We\'re looking for people who have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. We work in tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects - and depending on your strengths and interests, you\'ll have the opportunity to move between them.Job responsibilities

  • Collaborating with tribes, external teams to define performance test strategies for multiple domains/product functions across the line of business.
  • Working across tribes to ensure products are performance assessed against future forecasted volumes and well-defined non-functional requirements.
  • Partnering with platform engineering and cross functional teams to drive system wide orchestrated performance tests.
  • Building, maintaining, and owning orchestrated performance testing across the line of business.
  • Preparing and deliver regular performance testing reports to relevant stakeholders and senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation and explore modern technology and ways of working to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Advocating for performance testing best practices across the business and providing education and training to help tribes understand the importance of performance testing.
  • Collaborating with the tribes to align performance testing in line with firm wide audit controls.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Formal training or certification in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Experience in defining performance testing strategies for complex distributed systems.
  • Strong experience in performance testing using Gatling/similar tool set.
  • Strong Programming skills in Java, Java script and Python.
  • Experience in observability platforms like (Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic Search, Jaeger) to build custom visualization and dashboards.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Understanding of distributed systems and experience working with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) desirable.
  • Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) and messaging platforms (Kafka, etc.) desirable
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset.
  • Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
