The team is responsible for the development, enhancement and support of suite of portfolio services products . In this position, the engineer will be participating as an individual contributor, focused on delivering high quality and performant code.ROLE BRIEFAnalytical Product Engineering is responsible for FactSets industry leading Portfolio, Risk, Quantitative, Fixed Income products and Portfolio Services. Portfolio Services is an integrated suite of services that ensures consistent, accurate, and timely processing of portfolio and security level analytics, accessed through workstation, mobile, and feeds.These products are used by thousands of Asset Managers around the world every day to assist with investment decisions, analysis of performance, risk management, and the presentation of results. Analytical Product Engineerings product space represents a high growth opportunity for FactSet.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop new applications and enhancements to existing Portfolio Service ProductMaintain and fix bugs in existing Portfolio Service Product applicationsWork with Portfolio Service Product Development to understand project requirements and work with other Analytics Engineers on the technical design of those solutionsProvide regular project status updates to Team LeadApply best practices to their own work, and propagate this information within the teamWillingness to work as a member of a team, including participating in peer code reviews and maintaining project and operational documentationCollaborate with other engineers and Product Developers in a Scrum Agile environment using Jira and ConfluenceEstimate task sizes and regularly communicate progress in daily standups and biweekly Scrum meetingsCoordinate with other teams across offices and departmentsREQUIRED SKILLS3-6 years of industry experienceExpertise with C#, JavaExpertise with object-oriented design principlesProfessional experience working on Linux OS, including Bash scripting, Python, or PerlProfessional JavaScript experienceNice to have experience with JavaScript-based MVC frameworks, especially AngularJS, Vue.Js, or ReactNice to have experience in front end unit testing frameworks like Jasmine, Jest and e2e testing is requiredExperience building RESTful servicesAbility to articulate and teach development best practicesExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to set own goals based on shifting priorities for self and othersAbility to work as part of a geographically diverse teamAbility to create and review documentation and test plansAbility to communicate with both technical and non-technical peopleB.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.DIVERSITYAt FactSet, we celebrate diversity of thought, experience, and perspective.
