As a data software engineer for Developer Platform Collaboration Tools, this position is focused on data pipeline development for internal Walmart Global Technology work, resourcing, and project data. Internal technology teams across Walmart, Sam\'s, and International, from websites to store systems, use a combination of tools such as JIRA and custom-built internal tools to plan and track their work on a large scale, and we use the data from those tools to automate internal processes. This role will build data pipeline and data lake solutions for internal resource and work data used by accounting teams, portfolio, and technology management users. Your Responsibility: Understanding business needs from internal stakeholders, product managers, or application software engineers for reporting or data automation solutions. Collaborate with senior members of the team to gather requirements, participate in design discussion, code, test and deploy the products to production Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community. Analyzing source data from relational, NoSQL, API, or flat file data sources using knowledge of SQL and REST APIs Developing data pipelines in Azure or Google Cloud container environments Developing and performing automated tests of data solutions Optimizing for query performance and cloud cost. Troubleshooting, resolving, and preventing production incidents. As a member of the team you will be expected to code, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide. Develop and support the product developed e2e. What you\'ll bring: Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or related discipline with 3 to 6 years of core software product development experience. Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc. 3 or more years of experience with Python, Databases (SQL, No-SQL), developing APIs. SQL queries in Azure SQL or SQL Server, NoSQL solutions such as CosmosDB, REST API data sources Python development for data pipelines Google Big Query (BQ) as a target data lake Cloud experience in Azure or Google Cloud (GCP) Knowledge of container environments such as Docker, Kubernetes Experience with dev-ops is a plus (CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with Cloud Computing platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google cloud or similar is a plus Developing and performing automated tests A self-motivated learner and builder with strong customer focus and obsession to quality Flexible, hybrid work We use a hybrid way of working with primary in office presence coupled with an optimal mix of virtual presence.
