As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. Job responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• Facilitate application modernization through DevOps and CI/CD tool chain adoption and implementation
• Implement enhancements and bug fixes to the platform using python and other development tools
• Drive efficiency through automation of manual processes, deep dive into incidents and facilitate blameless post mortems.
• Responsible for the security, availability, performance, telemetry, and capacity management
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, understanding of software delivery lifecycle, agile environment, and knowledge of CI/CD Execution (GitHub, Jenkins, AIM etc.).
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Familiarity with RDBMS data concepts and experience in writing SQL queries
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging and alerting tools (appdynamics, splunk and the like ) and services for the applications build on prem-cloud, distributed microservice architecture.

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
