The Data Insights team at Solera are strong on technology with most employees either have degrees in Data Science or years of practical experience. We are very proud of the analytical software we have built which provides meaningful insights across billions of data points, this has been almost completely self-developed using Typescript ReactJS + Spring Boot, a data layer of APIs fed from Apache Solr and hosted on our internal VMWare Tanzu Kubernetes servers.

The ideal person for this role will be a problem-solver with an inquisitive and innovative mind & have a drive to collaborate with other teams to progress our projects forward. You should have excellent communication, computer programming skills, and able to work in a remote team with an agile mindset.

What youll do:

• Create high quality software using agile methodologies and JavaScript libraries like ReactJS
• Utilise markup languages like Typescript, JSX, HTML and CSS to create user-friendly websites and web applications
• Create applications using Object Oriented languages like C#, Java, and Web APIs
• Create web services using REST standards
• Unit test using mock objects
• Work with data in Azure SQL Server/Synapse and deploy applications to cloud
• Participate in the full software life cycle, including support, continuous integration, and design
• Exhibit a DevOps mindset with owning team project deployments part of a team
• Drive continuous improvement within a self-regulating team
• Have plenty of opportunity to learn new things, as well as coaching and mentoring others.

What youll bring:

• At least 3 years of experience within software development using the following technologies.
• Strong knowledge of ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis
• Knowledge of other technologies such as C# .NET, Web API, Java, Spring Boot
• Understanding of Azure SQL, Azure Synapse
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. Preferably Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Octopus/Jenkins
• Experience working with SCRUM team
• Demonstrable experience of software development for high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites/systems.
• Delivery experience within agile projects
• Problem solving and creative thinking
• Ability to speak-up with educated decisions and drive product direction and design.
• Experience following coding standards and performing peer code reviews
