Then, join our Ford FCSD TeamResponsibilities:Position Responsibilities:The Ford Pro Tech Automation Test Engineer in Platform Validation will play a vital part in driving the quality and velocity of software development efforts. The Automation Test Engineer will implement and execute automated tests in weekly iterations, maintain existing automated tests and research and investigate new automation tooling within the software industry.This specific role will focus on supporting different product teams within Ford Pro Tech. The Automation Test Engineer will need to understand the business and technology of each product to ensure success in each product's software delivery.Position Skills and Responsibilities:

• Basic Knowledge on Pega
• Verify that user stories meet the defined acceptance criteria
• Perform exploratory testing with the use of Charters, to unearth bugs and potential problems with the product before they reach production
• Assist in developing and execution of test plans for a product's release
• Automate smoke/release candidate test cases to quickly determine the stability of the product and provide a faster feedback loop
• Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and associated tools
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, often Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Experience with test automation frameworks like TestNG or Cucumber
• Creates, maintains and updates UI automation tests for Web products using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, EarlGrey, XCUITest or similar tools
• Creates, maintains and updates automation tests for API products using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger or similar tools
• Performs exploratory and manual testing on web products
• Records test results and creates summarized reports
• Works with product teams to discuss and define automation scope and design, analyze and identify automation test scenarios, and identify test data requirement for automation
• Develops automation test plans and test strategies, provides input where needed
• Defines product specific automation testing approach via growing and maintaining product knowledge.
• Aligns testing efforts with an iterative development process.
• Collaborates with team members to refine the product backlog items
• Reports defects to team members and creates defects within a backlog management tool
• Participates in daily and weekly agile ceremonies.
• Assists with building and grooming of a product backlog
• Works closely with the Product Manager to ensure the backlog is ready and actionable.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering field
• 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in software automation testing
• Experience in developing UI automated tests using JavaScript, Java, Swift, Kotlin and other related languages
• Experience with web automation testing framework using Cypress, Selenium, PlayWright
• Pega CSA Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines, such as Tekton, Jenkins
• Previous experience working as an automation test engineer
• Practice in Lean/Lean Startup thinking and Agile Extreme Programming development methodology
• Ability to lead the automation testing efforts across multiple products
• Ability to write automated test across web, mobile or API products
• Ability to work with developers to analyze features and create testing approaches
• Ability to define accessibility testing strategy
• Certified in Web accessibility testing
• Understanding services-based architecture and web-based APIs running REST protocols
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
