Job Description

Examine and monitor customer production live systems to ensure their smooth operation, availability, and performance Resolve tickets related to system issues promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems, including operating systems, applications, and associated software tools Manage and optimize virtualization technologies (eg, VMware, KVM) to create and administer virtual machines and environments Utilize network management systems to monitor, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure components Optimize network performance by analyzing network traffic, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing appropriate solutions Collaborate with telecommunication teams to integrate Linux systems into telecommunication infrastructure Perform system installations, upgrades, and migrations to ensure up-to-date and efficient systems Coordinate and execute system integration projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration Conduct system capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance and scalability Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately and maintain up-to-date documentation Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system administration, virtualization, and network management Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proven work experience as a Linux System Administrator or a similar role Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (eg, CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat), including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Experience in examining and managing customer production live systems, ensuring high availability and performance Familiarity with ticketing systems and experience in effectively resolving user-reported tickets Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V Strong understanding of network management systems and protocols (eg, SNMP, NetFlow) for monitoring and troubleshooting Solid knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, routing, and firewall concepts Experience with telecommunication systems and protocols (eg, SIP, VoIP) is advantageous Demonstrated expertise in system installation, upgrade, integration, and migration processes Strong scripting skills (eg, Bash, Python) for automation and system management tasks Familiarity with network performance optimization techniques and tools Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with customers
