What You Will Do:This is a role within Cisco\'s groundbreaking Data Center Networking team. You will participate in projects involving development of platform independent software for our next generation network operating systems for Cisco\'s industry leading N9K family of switches.Who You Will Work With:You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Data Center Networking/Switching Team that work on next generation of Data Center & Cloud switches.Who you are:

• You can craft & develop large portions of software independently and rapidly.
• You have an eye for details and are a person who loves to get to the depth of technology down to its bits and bytes.
• You can learn a wide range of Data Center technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters of Engineering in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong System/Applications programming skills in C/C++
• Good Linux Kernel Networking knowledge
• Good understanding in system and networking concepts and principles.
• Sound background in Data structures and Algorithms.
• Good debugging and trouble shooting skills
• 2-4 years of related work experience is required

Desired Skills:

• Python/Go programming
• Exposure to Open Source software development, Dockers/LxC, RPMs, etc
• Good Containerization and SDN knowledge

Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
