You will be working alongside international colleagues across the US, London, and India. We strongly emphasise cross-functional working through partnering directly with Product, Data, Design, UX and Delivery. The Role Cond Nast is looking for a seasoned hands-on Software Development Engineer to join and help us build the next generation of our digital products. You will work closely with our product teams and lead engineering team to define, set and achieve Engineering and Operational excellence goals in their shared mission to scale out and build our internal platforms. You will also work across cross-functional teams to define Contracts, Architectural and Design frameworks that will help scale business not only for today\'s goals but also for tomorrow\'s aspirations and challenges. These teams\' focus spans many types of products essential to both editors and subscribers. Your work will drive the future of Cond Nast\'s digital strategy in today\'s publishing market and reach our millions of readers around the world. Role and responsibilities Collaborate with other disciplines (engineering, design, product) in the creation and iteration of web applications built for our subscribers. Helping leading projects from ideation to execution to maintenance. Collaborating with the broader engineering group on new ideas or improving existing ones. Identify and improve code and usability performance issues. Participate in design and code reviews and lead by example by owning and implementing capabilities and features on critical Path. Mentor and Train teams to grow and expand our engineering teams with skill sets and functional and domain knowledge. Define Engineering and Operational excellence Standards, Best Practices and continuously improve them to meet the evolving Quality, End-User Experience and Productivity goals. About you - Essential skills You have a BE / BTech or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience as a full stack engineer working with Javascript core technologies and frameworks, and NodeJS/ReactJS. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Expert level fluency in at least 1 programing language Experience working with, designing, and deploying production-grade React applications Experience working with and helping Design Systems Familiarity and experience with using GraphQL-based APIs Strong end-to-end testing experience and an emphasis on TDD methodologies Eager to learn about new technologies and implementing these ideas in a production environment Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to different audiences Business proficiency in spoken and written English You will be working with a global team and need to be accommodative of different time-zones as required. Experience with Online Commerce, managing data at Scale.
