Summary Engineer- Software Developer will go through various complex and business critical jobs with focus on own\'s professional development, by building foundation through innovative contributions on Developing Digital Platforms, Digital Twins and Threads on Multiple Fossil Plant Products like Boiler, Steam Turbine, Generators and Air Quality Control Solutions based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, cloud computing Technologies for Efficient, Reliable and Sustainable Power Plants Operation in the Country. In this role, highly analytical with a knack for Physics, Math and Statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. Essential Responsibilities This role is a part of Instrumentation and Controls New Product Innovation Team which develops Electronics and Digital Analytical Products for Clean Combustion Control Systems, with a Goal of Safe and Reliable products for Operation with Efficiency and Safety of Fossil Power Plants. The role is technically demanding and innovative jobs focused on \' Digital Product Developments\' and will be a part of complex Continuous Plant Operation Data analysis by building Digital Twin & Digital Thread Platforms for Customers to have 24x7 Plant Operation and Faster Turn Around Times during Trips or Maintenance Shut Downs. The core responsibilities will be: . Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes from Plant Distributed Control Systems, Historians, Local Control Systems or AWS, Azure Clouds or On Premise Servers through SQL, Oracle platforms etc. . Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data . Evaluate Big Data to discover trends and patterns by using Statistical libraries of Python, R and . Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms based on Statistics and Physics Based Equations for Power Plant equipment\'s on Python . Combine models through ensemble modeling . Present information using data visualization techniques, and Automate generation of Value added reports for important KPI\'s . Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges . Collaborate with Internal engineering functions, Suppliers and End Users . Implement global standards and common processes to assure consistent quality is delivered. . Communicate project status, schedules, upcoming deliverable, and technical solutions between various teams. Method of communications to include, but not limited to Design review, construct ability & accessibility reviews, team meetings, line of balance etc. . Concurrently work on multiple projects and ensure program cost, quality and schedule requirements are met. Qualifications / Requirements . B.Tech or Integrated 5-year M.Tech in Computer Science, Instrumentation and Control from a Reputed University like IIT. . Understanding of machine-learning and operations research, Big Data and Data Mining . Knowledge of R, SQL and Python, Scala, Java or C++ is an asset. . Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop) . Problem-solving aptitude . Strong Math (e.g. statistics, algebra) and Physics (Mechanics, Thermodynamics) Skills . Excellent communication and presentation skills Desired Characteristics . High self-assured .
