We develop cloud-native services with high reliability and massive scale on top of Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode).Be part of enhancing our organisationYou will work at the heart of the Internet building and operating systems gathering telemetry from the next-generation cloud computing platform. You will join other software engineers in a cross-functional scrum team that owns the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of services and products used by thousands of internal and external Akamai customers.As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:

• Driving the testing activities of observability solutions for Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode) services
• Testing, profiling, and monitoring code performance
• Participating in the design, development, improvement, operation, and automation of observability solutions for Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode) services
• Following modern DevOps practices, building new services, or enhancing the existing ones
• Partnering with product owners, development, and test groups to create rapid cycles of feedback and improvement
• Diagnosing system performance and reliability together with the team of Site Reliability Engineers

Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:

• Collaborate and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical and business challenges
• Have knowledge of quality assurance practices required for rapid cycles of SDLC
• Have working experience of testing frameworks and tools like Postman in API/UI test automation
• Have experience in programming and automating processes using modern programming languages
• Have experience with developing software in GNU/Linux or Unix environment
• Demonstrate experience with working with Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
• Have a Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, another related field
