Don\'t wait, Apply Now!What you will do:Lead the design, implement products and solutions that are highly scalable with high-quality, clean, maintainable, optimized, modular and well-documented code across the technology stack.Crafting API\'s, developing and testing applications and services to ensure they meet design requirements.Work collaboratively with all members of the technical staff and other partners to build and ship outstanding software in a fast-paced environment.Shares new skills and knowledge with team to increase effectiveness.Applying knowledge of software design principles and Agile methodologies and tools.Leading/clarifying code evolution in code reviews.Resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur with help from peers or managers. Follow through on details and drive issues to closure.Assist with supporting production systems (investigate issues and working towards resolution).Who you are:Bachelor\'s degree or Masters in Computer Science and Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.5+ years of software development experience in an enterprise-level engineering environment and application development.Proficient with Object Oriented Programming concepts with a strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Data Engineering (at scale), and Computer Science fundamentals.Experience with Java, Spring framework, Micro-service architecture, Orchestration of containerized applications along with a good grasp of OO design with strong design patterns knowledge.Solid understanding of different API types (e.g. REST, GraphQL, gRPC), access patterns and integration.Prior knowledge and experience of NoSQL databases (e.g. ElasticSearch, ScyllaDB, MongoDB, Dynamo DB).Prior knowledge and experience of batch processing (e.g. Spark, Hive), stream processing (e.g. Kafka, Flink) and cloud-computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services is a plus.Knowledge and understanding of monitoring tools, testing (performance, functional), application debugging and tuning.About Expedia GroupExpedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform.
