Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to join our development team at [Institution's Name]. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining ERP applications to streamline and enhance various institutional operations, such as finance, human resources, student services, and administration. Key Responsibilities:

• ERP Development & Customization: Design, develop, and customize ERP software solutions to meet the specific needs of the institution, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• System Integration: Integrate ERP systems with other institutional platforms, such as student information systems (SIS), financial management software, and human resources applications, ensuring data consistency and process optimization.
• Configuration & Custom Modules: Configure ERP modules (e.g., Finance, HR, Student Management, Inventory, Procurement) and develop custom functionalities to meet institutional requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Student Services, IT) to gather requirements, understand business needs, and provide technical solutions.
• User Support & Training: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ERP system users. Develop user guides, training materials, and conduct training sessions to ensure effective utilization of the ERP system.
• System Upgrades & Maintenance: Manage system upgrades, patches, and the ongoing maintenance of ERP software to ensure the system remains up-to-date and secure.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure the ERP system adheres to institutional security policies and data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, GDPR) to protect sensitive information.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of ERP applications, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively across various departments.
• Documentation: Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, custom modules, and codebases.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with ERP industry trends and best practices to continuously improve system functionality and user experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in software development, with at least [X] years specifically working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in ERP development, configuration, and customization.

• Knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and database management systems.
• Familiarity with ERP development tools and frameworks.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex ERP-related issues.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and providing clear documentation.
• Project Management: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific ERP platforms used in higher education or large institutions (e.g., Banner, Ellucian, SAP).
• Experience with data migration and ERP system implementation.
• Knowledge of security practices related to ERP systems and sensitive institutional data.
• Certifications related to ERP software or systems (e.g., SAP Certified Developer, Oracle Certified Professional).
• Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools and ERP reporting capabilities.
