About Us: STREAM Technologies specializes in teaching courses in game development, virtual reality programming, and esports to students with disabilities, autism, and gifted kids. Our mission is to make STEM education accessible and engaging for all students.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer to join our team remotely. This role will focus on developing an innovative STEM e-learning platform with robust accessibility tools, delivering on-demand video content for kids, and launching our app. The ideal candidate will have experience in building scalable web applications, a strong understanding of accessibility standards, and a commitment to creating inclusive educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain a scalable e-learning platform.
• Integrate accessibility tools to ensure the platform is inclusive for all users.
• Implement on-demand video content delivery.
• App Launch:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the app launch.
• Ensure the app meets performance, usability, and accessibility standards.
• Monitor and resolve any issues post-launch to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces.
• Coordinate with content creators to integrate educational material.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development and accessibility.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance the platform's functionality and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development
• Must be proficient in English (STRONGLY REQUIRED).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, HTML or Java.
• Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and tools.
• Knowledge of video streaming technologies and content delivery networks (CDNs).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in educational technology or e-learning platforms.
• Background in developing apps for children or educational content.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
