The candidate will work closely with the Development team to resolve performance issues. Their contributions to the EPM PSR team are crucial to ensuring that we will meet customer\xe2\x80\x99s performance expectations. Also, needs the expertise to investigate slow executions and scalability issues in EPM.

It is ideal if the candidate understands the business processes our products support and how to best test them in a realistic process. Understanding how to work with various tools to identify and resolve bottlenecks are also important, for example, Fiddler. Being a self-motivated, team player, eager to contribute to the performance, scalability and reliability of our software is very important. Other important qualities are completing work quickly and proactively seeking out new work when nearing completion of tasks and persistent when facing obstacles, seeking out solutions until they find one that works well. Working directly with the Developers and Product Management to understand requirements and test cases. Being able to then use that information to implement tests in a scripting language for automated load testing to produce actionable information for analysis and subsequent review with Developers is our primary objective. The information provided to the Developers enables them to quickly identify and implement solutions to performance problems. The performance work is technical, requiring a firm understanding of computer architecture and programming principles in order to analyze test results for bottlenecks. This work also requires coding skills in order to create load testing scripts that may need detailed parameterization to ensure different simulated users access unique datasets and maintain proper session information. The tests scripts may require manual correlations and parameterizations, checkpoints and sync points for every transaction. The Candidate will be able to execute different type of tests such as response time, scalability and uptime with different usage patterns. The Candidate will participate in technical discussions with Development leads about the causes of performance issues and possible solutions. Understanding the use of profiling tools such as JFR recordings, analyzing heap dumps through Your Kit and Eclipse memory analyzer, analyzing the GC logs through GC verbose tools and analyzing FCM logs, EPM server logs.
