We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team, you will be part of developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a proficient and driven DevOps Engineer to join IBM MQ team. This role focuses on testing and validating the functionality, performance, and security of our MQ systems. You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability in our messaging infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:• Analyse and design comprehensive test cases for MQ.
• Conduct manual and automated tests to verify system performance and security.
• Manage and maintain MQ system test infrastructure for optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform compliance activities to maintain the MQ test infrastructure secure and healthy
• Automate deployments and configuration management using Ansible.
• Containerizing applications and services using Docker.
• Monitor and visualize system performance using tools like Grafana and proactively addressing observed issues.
• Manage and deploy applications using OpenShift and container technologies, ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Apply knowledge of Linux/Unix, AIX, and Windows system administration to maintain secure and stable environments.
• Optimize system performance and troubleshooting using an understanding of machine architecture.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet testing requirements and provide project updates.
• Participate in scrum calls, review meetings and contribute to improving testing processes and tools.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Skills in test case design, manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in Perl and Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with Ansible and Docker.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix, AIX, and Windows administration.
• Understanding of machine architecture.
• Development skills in Node.js.
• Experience with Grafana in creating monitoring dashboard.
• Familiarity with OpenShift and container technologies.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and repositories (GitHub).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge in Perl, Python, Ansible,Docker, Machine administartion, Node.JS, Machine Monitoring tools, Git
