Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Developer Relations (DevRel) Engineer to join our team and boost community growth for the open-source Presto Community. This role is crucial for maintaining and expanding our presence in the community and showcasing the outstanding work of our team.Key Responsibilities:

• Community Engagement: Actively engage in the Presto Community Slack channel by answering questions, providing support, and proactively connecting our engineers to relevant discussions.
• Content Creation: Write and publish technical blogs highlighting the innovative work and achievements of our team and other collaborators in the open-source community. Ensure the content is accessible, informative, and engaging for the community.
• Advocacy and Outreach: Give talks, lead workshops, and participate in conferences to increase awareness and understanding of Presto within the community.
• Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with community members, influencers, and other key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and community spirit.
• Feedback Loop: Act as a bridge between the community and our engineering team by gathering feedback, identifying common issues, and communicating these insights to improve our products and services.

• Technical Expertise: 5+ Years of Experience with data management systems. Knowledge of Presto is a strong plus. Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging technical content.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
• Community Involvement: Previous experience engaging with developer communities, preferably in a DevRel, developer advocate, or similar role.
• Public Speaking: Comfortable giving talks, leading workshops, and representing the organization at conferences and other events.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and product management.

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within open-source communities, especially Presto.
• Content Creation: Proven track record of creating high-quality technical content, such as blogs, tutorials, and documentation.
• Networking: Established connections within the Presto community.
