Our Cloud Infrastructure Center development team is responsible for enhancing, managing and orchestrating the full stack ( Standard interfaces to manage systems, Utilites, Value added services, & CI/CD). We tightly collaborate with the international development teams of IBM (e.g. hardware and firmware development) and colloborate with several Linux global maintainers of Open Source communities, and our Linux distribution partners (Red Hat, SUSE, Canonical). Our focus is on the support Linux on IBM Z / LinuxONE forms the basis of many of IBM\'s commercial solutions in Cloud, Analytics and AI.

Our Cloud Infrastructure Center on Z team is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the key components of the stack Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Architecture - OpenShift Container Platform (developer services), OpenShift Kubernetes Engine (Cluster services). We tightly collaborate with the Redhat and international development teams of IBM (e.g. hardware and firmware development), the global maintainers of Open Source communities.

Your responsibilities will comprise of design and specifications for new enhancements, coding (including test automation), problem determination and bug fixing, performance analysis, and solving client problems. Your attendance at Open Source community meetings is value add

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5 \xe2\x80\x93 8 yrs of overall industrial experience (3 - 4 years of Experience with Open Stack).
• 2- 3 years of experience working as a software engineer well versed with private/public cloud platforms or in an equivalent role supporting partners and enterprises
• 3+ years of experience with development or implementation in Unix or Linux environments.
• 4+ years of experience working with Python programming, designing, developing and leading new feature enablement for private/public clouds
• Extensive experience in working with Git and Jenkins
• understanding of Virtualization and working knowledge of implementing Virtualization features across the stack. (Knowledge of Network Virtualization is Plus)
• Hands-on experience with K8S/Container orchestration
• Foundational knowledge with Open Stack dependent packages.
• Knowledge on Ansible / teraform
• Knowledge on Java script and HTML

• Hands-on experience on Openstack based clouds, strong with virtualization concepts , Python programming, cloud architecture, familiarity
• with Network and SAN/NAS infrasturcture
• Basic understanding of cloud, e.g. OpenStack, IaaS concepts etc
• Basic understanding of IBM zSystems architecture, LPAR, PR/SM (Knowelge of DPM would be a plus)
