Job Description

:As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff you will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud infrastructure solutions are designed and built with the highest level of scalability, customer satisfaction and operability in mind. You will partner with other development teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment. You will conduct threat modeling of systems under development, ensure systems are built to align with security, identity, metrics, search, and others in the design, development, and deployment of distributed systems.Responsibilities:Qualifications * 10+ years of total experience in a technical capacity as a software developer, lead or architect.

• 5+ years distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related technical field
• Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in PaaS engineering
• Expertise in developing service-oriented architectures with a focus on APIs, micro-services and containers (Docker)
• Experience in developing software with one of Java, Go, C++ as well as scripting languages such as Python is a must
• Experience with networking and related technologies such as MPLS, HTTP/s, BGP, tcpdump, pcap, etc.
• Experience working with other cloud platform teams, product management and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, search, store, databases).
• Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences including software management, product management and other technical leaders.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment
• Experience with making technical/business trade-offs to deliver customer impacting results in a timely fashion
• Experience mentoring senior members of technical staff
• Ability to plan and reduce technical debt without compromising on feature velocity

Preferred Qualifications * Experience with routing protocols such as BGP

• CCNA or related certification
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design, specifically within a cloud environment
• Familiarity with full-stack including a UI platform such as React or Vue
• Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms
