Software Engineering Manager
Description:
Lead a world class team to build cutting edge features for IOT based web applications along with all the
backend infrastructure that will be used by the apps. Drive innovation in product development, while
relentlessly improving performance, scalability & maintainability. Work with multiple stakeholders across the
organization from requirements gathering all the way to postproduction.
Working closely with a talented and highly skilled pool of Software development Engineers, you shall be
responsible to drive the next level of features, while guiding and mentoring the team. You will manage your
business goals, contribute to product strategy, and help your team build the right information retrieval and
data strategies. You will ensure the sanity of software architecture, operational excellence, and quality,
delivering results on time and tracking project milestones. You will set up best practices for development and
champion their adoption.
Create clear career paths for team members and help them grow with regular deep mentoring. Perform
regular performance evaluation and share and seek feedback. Operating with scale and speed amidst flux,
there is just a LOT happening.
Prospective candidate should have:

• 10+ years of software product development experience with at least 2 years in managing a software

team.

• Bachelors or master's degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Information Engineering from a

reputed institute.

• Hands-on in technologies like IOT, Big Data Analytics & AWS or Azure Cloud.
• Prior experience with scalable & Microservices architecture.
• Experience in building web apps using Microsoft .NET and JavaScript frameworks like Angular, ReactJS

is a must.

• Experience in using HTML & CSS for front-end development.
• Design & development experience of RESTful services & APIs like Open API, SOAP, REST JSON, XML

etc.

• Experience in managing application development team, coaching, mentoring engineers at various

stages of their career.

• Experience in building world class IOT based web and/or mobile applications
• Strong understanding of SQL & NoSQL Database
• Knowledge about Microservices hosting platform Apigee, monetization platform AppDirect will be a

big plus

• Experience in working with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps , Junit
• Working Knowledge of Azure IOTHub, Amazon EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SES.
• Superior project management skills & experience of delivering high quality projects on time
• Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams simultaneously
• Ability to manage stakeholders and work with Product Managers & UX Designers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired Excellent

leadership skills to mentor the engineers under you.

• Strong Experience in Continuous Delivery, DevOps processes
• Passion for building a strong Engineering culture

• Leadership skills which enable the person to convince & negotiate right solution within the team and

to business stakeholders.
Internal

• Great interpersonal skills with written and spoken English will be a big plus.
• Ability to work in team environment with clear focus on delivering solutions to business problems
• Should be able to work in a global cross-cultural environment.
• Ability to work in Agile SCRUM and SAFE Agile environments is a big plus.
• High Commitment to learn in a dynamic environment is a must and cannot be ignored.
• Presentation and Demonstration skills are a must for working in Agile team environment.

Qualifications1. Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Information
Engineering from a reputed institute.
2. Programming/Database/Tools experience in following areas:
o 10+ years of experience in IOT based software application development is a plus.
o Strong experience working in front end & backend development Microsoft .Net, Angular JS
and SQL.
o Experience working on Web or mobile application Development product specification and
review
3. Any certifications on Agile, AWS, Azure, etc... will give a clear benefit to the candidate applying for the
