About the role: The ideal Software Architect candidate has a passion for coding and keeping up with the latest in software development and technology. You must be excited to find creative solutions to interesting infrastructure challenges. This position works closely with our designers and engineers to build a compelling product and implement exciting new features-all with the goal of ensuring a great experience for website users. Familiarity with modern cloud native design patterns and demonstrated experience launching production-ready systems is a must. What you will do:

• Build. You will spend your days designing systems using modern design principles with an eye for availability, security, observability, performance, and cost optimization.

• Document and educate. Ensure that existing and new solutions are properly documented and educate both technical and business stakeholders on cloud topics.

• Learn new technologies. We are always trying new things and you should too. You will be expected to keep getting better and learn new technical skills.

• Deliver products and tools that drive our business. The tools and features you’ll work on will grow our company even faster, and help our teams and leaders do their jobs more efficiently.

What you will need:

• A University Degree (preferably in Computer Science)
• 10+ years of professional working experience in development, systems administration, or infrastructure architecture.
• 3+ Years of designing, building, and supporting production level workloads using Amazon Web Services.
• Experience building containerized solutions using Kubernetes.
• Experience with tools for data ingestion, analysis, and streaming such as Elasticsearch and Apache Kafka
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, and Cloud Formation
• Working knowledge of modern information security challenges.
• Ability to collaborate with operations, development, product management and design teams to deliver well architected solutions.
