The designation is Soft Skills Mentor . This role is that of someone who will take charge of training + assessing on-campus mentors of Kalvium to help them deliver courses on Behavioural Skills. We're looking for folks with min 3 years of experience in Soft Skills Training/ Coaching/ Mentorship.



Here's a summary of what this role is about.
Kalvium is on a mission to make education relevant and engaging. We deliver great undergrad CS programs in multiple universities. Amongst many unique things about us, here's one - We don't stop at just delivering technical courses. We also want students to learn essential foundational skills - such as Critical Thinking, Professional Skills for the Workplace, Learning how to Learn, Fundamentals of Business Management etc. We have thus embedded such Foundational courses into our curriculum. We want our students to be well-rounded professionals.



Our program and courses are delivered to students in-person by our on-campus mentors.



This role we're hiring for - is someone who can take up the ownership of training + assessing all of our on-campus mentors so that they deliver great sessions to students.



You will be part of the Program Design team at Kalvium, in a role that's deep into education, teaching/ training/ mentorship.



Here's the detailed list of responsibilities that will cover this role.



• Mentor Training: Train and equip on-campus mentors to deliver foundational courses.
• Mentor Assessments: Design assessments and certify mentors that they are ready to deliver sessions on specific courses to students. These assessments must be delivered spot-free so that a mentor internally assessed + certified by default does well with students.
• Session Quality Assurance: Regularly assess and ensure that all mentor-led sessions maintain high standards of engagement, relevance, and effectiveness.
• Develop Teaching Strategies: Work with the Program Design team to develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies, tools, and materials to make learning interactive and impactful.
• Feedback & Improvement: Provide constructive feedback and actionable insights to mentors, fostering continuous improvement in their teaching practices.
• Monitor Student Progress: Collaborate with mentors to track and evaluate student progress, ensuring they achieve both technical and foundational skills for well-rounded professional growth.
• Curriculum Enhancement: Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the foundational courses to keep them relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry needs.



Qualifications we look for
------------------------------



• First and foremost, passion for education and a commitment to creating engaging and impactful learning experiences.
• Min 3 years of experience in Soft Skills Training/ Mentorship/ Coaching.
• You must be able to think about building professional behaviour tangibly and objectively in learners.
• You must be able to think actively and efficiently about training mentors and improving them to deliver great sessions.
• You must be able to assess mentors objectively deliver constructive feedback, and facilitate their growth.
• Needless to say, you must be able to communicate extremely well (oral + written) - we are looking for whether you can communicate anything in simple and engaging words.
You must have the ability to learn anything new.




Plus:
• Experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring teams. Prior experience in working with educators, teachers, or trainers to improve their performance is a bonus.

Location, timings, and pay
------------------------------

Location: In-office in Coimbatore
Timings: 6-days a week, 9 am to 6.30 pm
Pay: 6 LPA (5 fixed and 1 variable)
