Job Function



The Project Viability Consultant will conduct in-depth feasibility studies for livelihood projects across designated sites. This role involves evaluating the technical, financial, and social aspects of projects--particularly focusing on economic sustainability, risk identification, and the potential for positive social impact in tribal communities. The consultant will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including local district managers, TAHDCO teams, and senior leadership (CEO & R&D), to develop actionable strategies and provide continuous ideation support.

Field Work



Regular travel to project sites (including Mudhalipalayam, Dhali, Ingur, Tharangambadi, Kaatumannnar Koil, and Thally) is required. TAHDCO will cover travel and food allowances.

Physical Activity



This role involves moderate physical activity, including frequent site visits, on-site assessments, and fieldwork in varied environmental conditions.

Work Schedule & Location:



Monday to Saturday, 9.30a.m. to 6:30pm. Hours may vary on occasion, depending on workload. Second Saturday Holiday.

Intern period:

3 month

Req. Qualification:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Req. Experience:



Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience in project viability studies, market research, and financial feasibility assessments.

Experience in sustainable development, livelihood projects, or similar sectors is highly desirable.

Req. Knowledge and Skills:



Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and delivering effective presentations.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.

Ability to effectively manage travel and logistical arrangements.

Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities



1.Market Analysis:

Conduct detailed demand and supply assessments for each designated project site.

2.Technical Feasibility:

Evaluate technology and resource requirements for project implementation. Coordinate with local district managers and relevant stakeholders.

3.Financial Viability:

Perform cost-benefit analyses and develop revenue projections. Assess funding requirements and overall financial sustainability.

4.Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.

5.Regulatory Compliance:

Review of legal and environmental clearances essential for project execution.

6.Social Impact Assessment:

Evaluate and ensure that projects positively impact social causes, enhance livelihoods, and support tribal community development.

7.Site Visits & Coordination:

Conduct periodic visits to all designated sites and engage with TAHDCO teams for on-ground insights.

8.Reporting & Guidance:

Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations. Provide regular updates and strategic guidance to the CEO, R&D teams, and other senior stakeholders.

9.Continuous Ideation Support:

Offer ongoing innovative ideas and strategic insights throughout the project lifecycle.

10.Collaboration:

Maintain open communication with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
