Job Summary: The Social Science Teacher for grades 6-8 will be responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics as per the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the CBSE curriculum.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to facilitate learning, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
• Integrate technology into teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
• Student Assessment:
• Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress.
• Classroom Management:
• Establish and maintain a disciplined and conducive classroom environment.
• Address student behavior issues promptly and effectively.
• Encourage and promote student engagement and participation.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated with the latest educational trends, teaching methods, and CBSE guidelines.
• Attend professional development workshops, training sessions, and meetings as required.
• Parent and Community Engagement:
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and development.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other activities that foster a positive school community.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate activities.
• Contribute to the development of the school's social science curriculum and resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Science, or a related field.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience in teaching social sciences at the middle school level, preferably within the CBSE curriculum.
• Strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum and educational standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
