Social Science Teacher

Location: Mount Dios International School, opp kala bhairava temple, simhachalam, Old Adavivaram, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh 530028

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Teach subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics effectively.
• Use interactive teaching methods, activities, and technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Evaluate and assess student progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Prepare and distribute notes, homework, and relevant teaching materials.
• Maintain classroom discipline, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Encourage critical thinking, analysis, and inquiry-based learning among students.
• Organize educational activities, field trips, and projects to complement classroom teaching.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and training programs.
• Guide and motivate students to develop an understanding of cultural, historical, and civic concepts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and align with institutional goals.
• Stay updated with modern teaching methods and subject matter developments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Science, History, Geography, or related field.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a Social Science Teacher, preferably in a school setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in using educational tools, technology, and multimedia resources.
• Passion for teaching and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
