Job Description

The Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching students in grades 6 to 8 about history, geography, civics, and economics. The role involves fostering a deeper understanding of the world, society, and its functions through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning and Teaching:
• Prepare and deliver lessons on topics related to history, geography, civics, and economics as per the curriculum.
• Use storytelling, discussions, and visual aids to make lessons engaging and relatable.
• Student Engagement:
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and inquiry to deepen understanding of social science concepts.
• Use real-world examples to connect classroom learning to everyday life.
• Assessment and Feedback:
• Conduct tests, assignments, and projects to evaluate student understanding.
• Provide constructive feedback and help students improve their analytical skills.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment.
• Encourage active participation while maintaining discipline.
• Individual Support:
• Identify and assist students struggling with social science concepts.
• Challenge advanced learners with additional projects or discussions.
• Parental Communication:
• Keep parents informed about their child's progress and performance.
• Offer suggestions for at-home activities to reinforce learning.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated on current events and teaching methodologies.
• Participate in school activities, training, and curriculum development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching social science to middle school students is preferred.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to bring historical and social concepts to life.
• Ability to use educational tools and technology to enhance learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month

• Sonpur, Bihar: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
