Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a talented and experienced SME, Social Media Advertising person to join our performance marketing team and spearhead our lead generation efforts through social media channels for our Local Marketing Solutions (LMS) division. LMS specializes in bringing Data Axle\'s offerings to small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) in the USA and Canada, which markets the company has served for over 50 years. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of generating B2B leads at scale by advertising on social media channels in a performance marketing environment. This role will be responsible for developing and expanding the division\'s social media advertising channel, building out new campaigns across various platforms to drive a large volume of qualified leads that perform well for our sales department.


  • Own the development our performance-based paid social media channel, generating initial interest and nurturing them into marketing qualified leads (MQL) for our sales team that become sales qualified leads (SQL) and orders.
  • Launch and optimize all LMS social media advertising campaigns, on platforms such as Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads, achieving meaningful quarterly volume increases with a healthy Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
  • Optimize all aspects of campaign performance, from audiences and bidding strategies to creative assets and user experiences, utilizing your keen data analytics skills and your ability to connect with audiences.
  • Work closely with Creative, A/B Testing and Analytics to develop, test and improve all creative assets, including calls to action, ads, videos, white papers, landing pages, thank you pages, landing page templates and lead capture methods.
  • Work cross-functionally with company leaders in Sales, Product, Martech, and Analytics to ensure alignment and effectiveness of lead generation initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on campaign performance, KPIs, and strategic direction to key stakeholders, including General Managers and the Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new opportunities in paid social media advertising, keeping us a step ahead of industry competitors.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing in a performance marketing environment, including 5+ years in paid social media advertising, at least 4 years in B2B lead generation, and at least 3 years running in-house campaigns.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise from hands-on experience with paid social media platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) and their respective ad formats, targeting options, and optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, equally adept at communicating to technical leaders, sales leaders or company executives.
  • Ability to craft paid social ad campaigns, ad strategies and landing page experiences from scratch, finding new ways to grab the attention of prospective buyers, connect with them, and drive interest in our products and services.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications in social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn Marketing), are a plus, though they do not need to be current (going through those once is enough, lol).
  • No university effectively teaches social media advertising, but Bachelors\' or advanced degrees in marketing, business, analytics, or any challenging, data-driven field are preferred.
