Role Description
Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy is to help enable economies and communities to prosper. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join us in creating a positive impact for the environment, people, and society at large. The role will experience first-hand how Zscaler applies its CSR strategy to the most relevant local concerns which vary across our network of # markets in the region and has a possibility over time to extend their support to strategize, plan and enable execution in regions across the globe.Key Responsibilities:In this role, the Social Impact Lead will be supporting CSR in India and APJ region with a broader focus on India; ensuring compliance with the India regulations and Companies Act. This role will report to the Sr. Engagement Program Manager, India and has accountability to India Leadership, Director HR, India & APJ.Responsibilities include developing and implementing CSR initiatives that align with our global and regional strategic focus areas, supporting governance work as well as tactical day-to-day activities.

  • Lead CSR initiatives and flagship programs including planning, budgeting and execution by collaborating and managing the relevant internal and external stakeholders in India and APJ.
  • Identify and perform partner/NGO due diligence based on the set criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Create and deploy tools for monitoring, assessing, and communicating the effectiveness and impact of CSR initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including NGOs, community leaders, government agencies, and internal teams, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in CSR, cyber security, STEM education, ESG, and DEIB, ensuring our programs remain relevant and impactful.
Volunteer Management:
  • Develop and maintain an annual calendar of events to drive employee engagement in social impact initiatives through communication, education, and volunteering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and Employee Resource Groups (ERG) to identify opportunities for social impact initiatives and establish partnerships that leverage our expertise and resources.
  • Responsible for supporting the coordination of volunteer events including the end-to-end coordination between NGOs, CSR Committees, Admin team and employee volunteers on logistics in each city where we operate and encouraging employees across the various branches and entities to volunteer their time and skills to Zscaler NGO partners/programmes in India.
  • Monitoring feedback from volunteers and the engagement to support better participation.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Conducting key accounting and governing meetings.
  • Providing communication support and reporting back to key stakeholders.
  • SME and advisor to address suggestions, concerns, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal communications, PR and social media teams as well as leverage the non-profit\'s media presence to promote Zscaler\'s social impact narrative, and employee volunteering events.
  • Partner with HQ ESG team and support the annual ESG report with key social/environmental impact stories, substantiated with qualitative and quantitative data points.
Legal Compliance and Documentation Support:
  • Liaise with the finance, procurement internal audit & SOX teams and assist in ensuring statutory, compliance, regulatory filing, and CSR audits.
  • Manage the CSR budget, ensure spending aligns with the prescribed budget and own the fund utilization.
  • Coordinating with Legal and other teams to ensure MoUs are in place and receipts are received for each payment.
  • Lead the regional CSR Committee meetings based on the secretarial procedures, seek necessary approvals, and update the committee on progress.
  • Maintain offline and online records for each NGO.
  • To meet the regulations stipulated by the CSR Act in India, carry out post-funding follow-up with NGOs on various forms and utilization certificates to be submitted to Finance, Tax, Regulators.
  • Keep up to speed with the regulatory framework corresponding to the CSR provisions in the Companies Act and other related.
Usage and maintenance of organizational tools and platforms:
  • Zscaler Giving Back portal for volunteer event planning and reporting.
  • Finance tools to onboard and manage vendors.
  • Communication channels such as the intranet or Slack to socialize and engage with the employee community.
Skills And Experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of robust experience in managing CSR initiatives and ensuring compliance with India\'s CSR laws in IT service/product organizations.
  • Bachelor\'s/master\'s degree related to Social Work, Social Sciences, CSR, Sustainability, Public policy, or any related field.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate complex initiatives.
  • Proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key social impact sectors such as STEM education, Cybersecurity, Women empowerment, Climate change, DEIB and trends.
  • Data driven and knowledgeable about impact measurement, program evaluation and reporting.
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Strong administrative, organizational, processing, and time management skills; attention to detail, accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
