Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Server Administration:

• Manage and maintain complex server environments, including Windows and Linux servers.
• Implement and manage virtualization technologies like Hyper-V, VMware, and containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity planning.
• Monitor server infrastructure, proactively identify and resolve issues, and optimize performance.

Cloud Infrastructure:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Migrate workloads to the cloud and optimize cloud resources.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based applications.

Database Administration:

• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and other database systems.
• Optimize database performance, security, and backup strategies.
• Implement database high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Security:

• Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.

Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to server and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide timely and effective solutions to minimize system downtime.

Team Leadership:

• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular training sessions to share technical expertise and best practices, empowering team members to excel in their roles.
• Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback to help team members identify areas for improvement and set development goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Cloud, Windows & Linux Server environments.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
• Database administration skills (SQL Server, MySQL).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the web hosting industry is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?400,000.00 - ?1,000,000.00 per year
