Job Summary:

The SMD Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of surface-mount technology (SMT) equipment used in the assembly of electronic components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SMT processes and be able to troubleshoot issues that arise during production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate SMT machines, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and screen printers.
• Load and unload circuit boards and components into machines according to specified procedures.
• Monitor the SMT process to ensure quality and adherence to production standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections of completed assemblies to verify component placement and solder quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SMT equipment and processes, including adjusting machine settings and making necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to address any discrepancies or defects.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience operating SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of SMT processes, including component placement, soldering, and inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Proficient in using hand tools and basic measurement instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [weight, e.g., 25 lbs].
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Pay: ?12,554.72 - ?18,000.00 per month
