Key Responsibilities:
• Process Optimization:
• Develop and implement SMT processes to maximize efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Monitor SMT operations and analyze performance data to identify and address areas for improvement.
• Continuously refine processes based on feedback, performance metrics, and emerging technologies.
• Equipment Management:
• Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and solder paste printers.
• Ensure all SMT equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Diagnose and resolve SMT process issues such as component placement errors, soldering defects, and equipment malfunctions.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure that SMT processes adhere to quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and evaluations to detect defects and ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address quality-related concerns and implement improvements.
• Technical Documentation:
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant personnel.
• Training and Support:
• Provide training and technical support to production staff on SMT processes and equipment operation.
• Develop training materials and deliver workshops to enhance team knowledge and skills.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SMT process efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement tools to drive operational excellence.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and other departments to integrate SMT processes into new product designs and production lines.
• Foster a collaborative environment to address process challenges and improve overall production performance.
