Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMD Microcontroller Assembler to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing surface-mount microcontroller components, ensuring high-quality standards and precision in the final product. This role requires strong knowledge of microcontroller systems, soldering techniques, and circuit board assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Soldering and Assembly:
• Assemble SMD microcontroller-based circuits and boards using automated equipment and manual soldering techniques.
• Ensure precise and accurate placement of surface-mount components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Inspect components for defects and handle them appropriately during the assembly process.
• Testing and Troubleshooting:
• Conduct functional testing of assembled boards to verify microcontroller operation and overall circuit functionality.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve assembly issues such as soldering defects or component placement errors.
• Quality Control:
• Perform quality checks during and after assembly to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and company procedures.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of assembly and testing procedures for traceability.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor to ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand design specifications and ensure proper assembly techniques are applied.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth assembly workflows.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics or PCB assembly is preferred.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in SMD assembly or microcontroller-based electronics assembly.
• Experience with soldering techniques, including fine-pitch SMD components.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, circuit boards, and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in using soldering irons, microscopes, and other assembly tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Good understanding of electronic schematics and circuit diagrams.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work with small components and perform repetitive tasks.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tiny components.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment, following proper safety and environmental regulations.
• Full-time position with potential overtime during peak production periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microcontroller programming or firmware development is a plus.
• Familiarity with automated assembly machines, pick-and-place systems, or reflow soldering is an advantage.
