You will be working as SIU Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Project Manager. You will be primarily responsible for design authority for an analytical system design engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  • Providing technical support for SCM, Integration of analytical systems, testing, installation and commissioning activities. Preparing project documentation within scope of deliverables
  • Supporting contract managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.). Providing quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivers within budget and contract. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks
  • Creating work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improving effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions
  • Assisting customers on technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractors and other staff within your scope of deliverables. Assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings
  • Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers. Providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services
  • Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reporting processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas
Your background
  • Bachelors degree in Chemical or Instrumentation engineering with strong knowledge of design of analytical systems like Gas Chromatography, CEMS, CGA, FTNIR & RVP
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in relevant field
  • Experience in working with EPC and Oil & Gas end users is must
  • Experience in working with System Integration unit will be an added advantage
  • Must have knowledge about analytical business suppliers and relations
  • Strong communication skill and customer focus
