RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing Operations:
- Manage daily operations at the construction site.
- Ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Supervising Personnel:
- Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.
- Provide guidance and instructions to ensure tasks are performed correctly.
- Monitoring Progress:
- Track project progress and report on daily activities.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deadlines.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Address any issues or defects promptly and efficiently.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures on site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Coordination:
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate daily logs, including work performed and materials used.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to project management.
- Problem Solving:
- Resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise on site.
- Address any unexpected challenges or issues promptly.
- Budget Management:
- Monitor expenses and control costs within the project budget.
- Report any budget deviations and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Ensure clear understanding of project goals and expectations.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff or apprentices.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction activities.
- Environmental Awareness:
- Implement environmental protection measures as required.
- Minimize environmental impact during construction activities.

Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree/ High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Technical or Vocational Training: Candidates with certificates or diplomas in construction management, building trades, or a related field will get more preference.
Other Qualifications:
• Work Experience: Typically, 1-2 years of experience in construction or a related field is preferred. Experience as a construction worker or in a lower-level supervisory role is valuable.
• Technical Skills: Understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials is essential. Familiarity with blueprints, drawings, and specifications is often required.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and direct teams effectively, manage conflicts, and motivate workers.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including workers, subcontractors, and management.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of identifying issues, proposing solutions, and making decisions under pressure.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and oversee multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
• Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on site.
