The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on construction or maintenance sites. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget
- Project Management:
- Supervise daily operations on the site, including scheduling and coordinating work.
- Ensure that the project progresses according to the project plan, budget, and timeline.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise promptly.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and oversee the performance of site staff and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss progress, challenges, and updates.
- Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure high standards of work and safety.
- Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations on-site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
- Address any safety concerns or hazards promptly and effectively.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all work is completed to the required standards and specifications.
- Inspect work to verify compliance with project plans and quality standards.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or defects in a timely manner.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project manager, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager on project status, progress, and any issues.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, work completed, and any incidents or issues.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by the project manager or company policies.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and safety records.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
