Site Supervisor
Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
• Supervision and Coordination :
• Lead a team of tundish operators, technicians, and refractory maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Schedule and supervise the preparation, preheating, and installation of tundish refractory linings to meet production demands.
• Monitor and adjust tundish management practices to improve efficiency, extend tundish life, and reduce downtime.
Process Optimization :
• Analyze tundish performance data and troubleshoot issues to enhance process reliability and reduce casting defects.
• Work with engineers to test and implement new refractory materials or designs that may extend tundish life or improve steel cleanliness.
• Optimize tundish turnaround times by streamlining maintenance and repair processes.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of refractory materials, including ladle shrouds, nozzles, and other tundish components.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required materials while optimizing costs.
• Document usage and lifespan of materials to forecast future needs and budget requirements.
Training and Developments :
• Provide training to tundish operators and technicians on proper maintenance and handling techniques.
• Update team members on advancements in tundish technology, refractory materials, and safety protocols.
• Encourage continuous improvement initiatives within the team to enhance skills and operational efficiency.
