Site Management:
• Oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring all work is carried out safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Supervise workers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality of work.
• Ensure the site is well-organized and complies with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
Team Supervision:
• Lead and direct the site workforce, including laborers, equipment operators, and subcontractors.
• Provide daily guidance, assign tasks, and manage the site team to ensure productivity and morale.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team efficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure that all workers are trained in safety practices.
• Monitor the site for hazards and resolve potential risks promptly.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with project managers and other supervisors to align on project timelines, resources, and requirements.
• Maintain clear and open communication with the project management team regarding site progress, issues, and changes.
• Monitor and report on work progress, delays, and any issues that may impact the project timeline.
Material and Equipment Management:
• Oversee the inventory and proper utilization of materials and equipment on site.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment to ensure they are available when needed.
• Ensure that all machinery and tools are maintained and safe to operate.
Quality Control:
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards, design specifications, and contractual agreements.
• Perform regular quality checks to prevent defects or substandard work.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and daily site activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on site progress, safety incidents, and other relevant metrics.
• Maintain and track project documentation, including permits, approvals, and change orders.
Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant vocational training or certification preferred (e.g., OSHA, construction safety, etc.)
• College degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction site supervision or a related role.
• Experience in site preparation, grading, utility installation, and/or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and equipment.
Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in basic project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
