Job Title: Site Supervisor
Overview
A Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a construction site. This includes ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's expected quality standards. The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining safety, coordinating teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Management:
• Overseeing all aspects of the construction project, from start to finish.
• Developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule.
• Monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues or delays.
• Implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Team Management:
• Supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
• Assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities.
• Providing clear instructions and guidance to the team.
• Resolving conflicts and addressing performance issues.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Enforcing safety regulations and procedures on the construction site.
• Conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any hazards.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
• Implementing emergency procedures and responding to accidents or incidents.
• Quality Control:
• Inspecting the quality of work performed by the construction team.
• Ensuring that all work meets the specified standards and specifications.
• Identifying and rectifying any defects or deviations from the project plan.
• Budget and Cost Control:
• Monitoring project costs and ensuring that they are within budget.
• Approving invoices and payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing them.
• Communication and Reporting:
• Maintaining effective communication with the project manager, client, and other stakeholders.
• Providing regular progress reports on the project.
• Documenting project activities and maintaining accurate records.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Proficiency in using construction software and tools.
• Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training).
• Experience in specific construction trades or specialties.
• Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
