Job Description

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing daily site operations, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This role requires close coordination with subcontractors, laborers, engineers, and other team members, as well as ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Site Management:
• Oversee all on-site construction activities and personnel, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure all work is carried out according to project specifications and timelines.
• Assign tasks and monitor the work progress of laborers, contractors, and tradespeople.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect work completed by contractors and employees to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Ensure all materials used and work performed are in accordance with project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or delays.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Implement and enforce site safety plans to minimize accidents or injuries.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain daily logs, including site activity records, progress reports, and any issues or incidents.
• Report site progress and any potential delays to the project manager.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to ensure project alignment and address concerns.
• Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve project-related issues.
• Handle on-site queries or concerns from stakeholders.
• Time and Budget Management:
• Monitor project timelines and ensure that work is progressing according to schedule.
• Ensure effective use of resources and materials, avoiding unnecessary delays or costs.
• Assist in managing project budgets by controlling costs and preventing material wastage.
• Team Management:
• Lead, motivate, and train the site team to improve performance and maintain morale.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior site staff or apprentices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2- 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in construction or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and construction management software.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Education and Certification:

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified in site safety management, first aid, or similar credentials.
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card (if applicable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
