A road construction supervisor is a key professional responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of road construction projects. They play a critical role in ensuring that road construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. Road construction supervisors work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to coordinate activities, monitor progress, and ensure the successful completion of road construction projects.
Job Responsibility:
• Supervising road construction work on a job site.
• Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
• Coordinating and supervising construction workers, selecting tools and materials, and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best rates.
• Ensuring that all safety regulations are followed and that the construction work remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring staff.
• Organizing the logistics of construction materials and ensuring that equipment is maintained and handled according to safety standards.
• Directing, training, and assisting lower-level construction workers.
• Preparing construction reports and compiling construction records.
• Ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and preparing work schedules.
• Conducting reviews for personnel performance and evaluating employee performance.
• Conferring with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
• Processing paperwork and traveling to multiple sites as required.
• Scheduling regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff.
Educational Qualification
• BE/BTech/Diploma/ITI-Civil Engineering
• Experience 2-3 Years into Road Projects
• Considerable work experience in the construction industry, including roles that demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and legal regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and delegate where necessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with various stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
