Reports To : Project Manager or Construction Manager

Job Summary :
The Site Supervisor is tasked with overseeing daily operations on a construction or project site, ensuring all work is performed safely, on time, and within budget. This includes managing personnel, monitoring work progress, ensuring site safety, and liaising with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Site Management :
• Supervise and manage all site activities to ensure work is completed on schedule and to the required standard.
• Coordinate and monitor the work of sub-contractors and tradespeople.
• Ensure the availability of necessary resources (materials, equipment, labor) to avoid delays.
• Maintain site order and cleanliness, ensuring safety standards are strictly adhered to.
• Health & Safety Compliance :
• Implement and enforce site health and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the safety of all workers and visitors.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, addressing any issues immediately.
• Ensure all workers comply with safety regulations, including the use of protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe working practices.
• Report and document any incidents or accidents in accordance with legal requirements.
• Coordination & Communication :
• Act as the main point of contact between site workers, clients, contractors, and project managers.
• Organize site meetings, both internal and with external stakeholders, to review project progress and address concerns.
• Communicate changes in the scope of work, project timeline, or budget to all relevant parties.
• Maintain daily site logs, documenting all key activities and issues.
• Quality Control :
• Ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds specified quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work, identifying any issues and ensuring they are rectified promptly.
• Ensure materials and workmanship adhere to project specifications and regulations.
• Scheduling & Progress Monitoring :
• Oversee the day-to-day scheduling of tasks and allocation of labor.
• Track project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed according to schedule.
• Provide progress reports to project managers, highlighting any potential delays and suggesting corrective actions.
• Material & Resource Management :
• Monitor and manage the use of materials and resources on-site, ensuring that wastage is minimized.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials to avoid delays and ensure materials are stored properly.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Problem-Solving :
• Identify and resolve any issues that may arise on the site, whether related to logistics, labor, materials, or safety.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to solve technical problems.
• Documentation & Reporting :
• Keep accurate records of site activities, including daily work logs, delivery receipts, and worker attendance.
• Prepare reports for project managers on site progress, issues, and any variations to the project.

Requirements :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Experience :
• Previous experience in a supervisory role on construction or similar project sites.
• Experience managing a diverse team of workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
• Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and equipment.
• Skills :
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in site management software and tools is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?10,009.96 - ?20,000.00 per month
