• operate a multi-tenant service, encompassing cluster management, security, resource and quota management, partitioning, monitoring chargeback, data governance, quality and lineage
• enhance our estate by maintaining centralized Azure Databricks SRE responsibilities
• work closely with cross-functional teams in hardware, platform services, and operations to foster collaborations and synergies
• guide users and teams in designing Big Data solutions, offering trainings, and one-on-one consultations

UBS RecruitingYour teamYou will be working in the Big Data SRE team to focus on reliability and efficiency in collaboration with our Global Big Data Service team. The Big Data Service is a Center of Excellence across the firm for Cloudera, Databricks, Synapse, and other large-scale data platforms. The Big Data Service enables storage and reporting solutions for critical lines of business, such as Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Risk and Finance, Human Resources, and other mission critical technology Service Teams. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data technologies
• proven expertise in administering Databricks workspaces
• thorough understanding of Databricks Account administration and Unity catalog metastore administration

and ideally hands on experience at enterprise level rollout

• certified AZ-104 Azure Administrator or knowledgeable with Azure platform
• hands on experience using SCIM, PowerShell, and automation scripts
• familiar with SRE ethos and the aim to reduce toil
• experience working in a DevOps team, practicing agile methodologies and ability to work independently
• bachelor\'s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with seasoned Big Data experts, as well as guiding individuals new to Big Data technologies
