Position: SITE QUALITY ENGINEER * Nature and Scope
Responsible to set up Construction Quality system at site along with subcontractors and AP construction team.
Prepare and implement Construction Quality Program along with associated Inspection and Test Plans
Set project specific quality objectives and drive to implement at project sites in coordination with Regional Quality Manager and Construction Quality Lead.
Familiarity with international codes and standards applicable to project scope of work and keep oneself abreast with latest updates and implement them during field construction work.
Responsible to establish quality assurance documentation at project site in coordination with subcontractors and construction department.
Ensure the contactors have adequate quality team set up and facilities to ensure the highest standard of quality work at site
Competent QMS Auditor who can prepare audit schedule, perform audits, prepare report, and support NCR / Audit Findings closing as CA/PA and improvement efforts
Ensure the good quality practices are implemented and contractor\'s quality management system is in place
Able to set up construction quality milestones, monitoring of KPIs and exercise control for all types of contracts
Lead QA/QC position will have an overall impact on Quality Objectives set by organisation. Lead QA/QC position also covers onsite activities where required and work closely with Engineering & Expediting teams.
Principal Accountabilities
Must have in-depth knowledge and practical experience of site quality activities like finalization of quality assurance plans, welding qualifications, NDT procedures Preservation plan Audit schedule etc.
Must have hands-on experience in inspections of steel structures, piping, Mechanical equipment, skid packages specialized cleaning etc. and in-depth knowledge of all national and international codes, standards, and regulations.
Drive the quality in construction activities in term of project timing, key qualification and quality control gates/milestones and deliverables for critical packages.
Lead contractor selection problem solving and drive corrective actions with support from engineering and project team.
Work closely with project management resources in contractor activities
Minimum Competence Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical engineering from recognised Institution
Welding and/or Painting Inspector Qualification from Indian or International Institution
NDT Level II in RT, MT, UT, PT & VT.
Well versed with various materials and welding metallurgy, construction methods, PWHT, ISRs etc.
Must have basic knowledge in insulation, and refractory activities.
Knowledge of ASME, ISO, API, EN and other applicable codes & standards
Experience
At least 10 years of working experience with minimum of 5 years construction field experience as Lead in construction quality related function with multinational company, preferably within the Industrial equipment, Oil and Gas Industries.
Familiar with shop fabrication and field erection of static, rotating equipment, piping, and field commissioning work.
Advanced knowledge of Quality System, ISO 9001:2015, Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
