Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Site Engineer to oversee on-site activities and ensure smooth execution of construction projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, effective communication, and leadership skills to manage resources, maintain quality, and adhere to safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Initial Consultation
• Participate in initial virtual meetings with clients and project teams to understand project requirements, preferences, and budgets.
• Review existing plans, photos, and other documentation provided by clients to establish a clear project scope.
2. Site Preparation
• Oversee site preparation activities, including clearing, leveling, and setting out the construction site.
• Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before construction begins.
3. Construction Oversight
• Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ensure that all work meets the highest quality standards.
4. Coordination and Collaboration
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Communicate design updates or changes to the construction team and ensure proper implementation.
• Serve as a liaison between the construction team and project management to facilitate smooth progress.
5. Resource Management
• Ensure the availability and proper allocation of materials, equipment, and labor on-site.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Monitor and adjust resource usage as necessary to avoid delays or cost overruns.
6. Quality Control
• Implement and maintain stringent quality control procedures to ensure all work meets project standards.
• Conduct inspections at key milestones to verify compliance with specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Address deficiencies or quality concerns promptly to uphold project integrity.
7. Safety Management
• Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
• Promptly address and resolve safety concerns or incidents.
8. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain organized records of project documents, including plans, drawings, specifications, and daily logs.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project management team.
• Ensure all documentation is updated and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
9. Problem Resolution
• Identify and resolve conflicts or issues arising during the construction process.
• Work collaboratively with construction teams to develop practical solutions and maintain workflow continuity.
• Escalate significant challenges to senior management as needed.
10. Final Review and Handover
• Assist in scheduling the final review meeting with the client and project team to walkthrough the completed project.
• Address final adjustments or punch list items to ensure client satisfaction.
• Support the preparation and delivery of a comprehensive package of final construction documents, including as-built drawings, warranties, and maintenance guidelines.
11. Post-Completion Support
• Provide post-completion support to address client questions or concerns after project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients and maintenance teams to ensure a seamless transition and continued satisfaction.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in on-site construction supervision and management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management tools and construction software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to dynamic site conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?12,045.66 - ?37,427.30 per month
