Job Description

As a Site Engineer for P.Way Works, Civil, and Structural Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of railway track construction and maintenance, as well as civil and structural engineering projects. This position is open to freshers who have recently graduated in civil or structural engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Railway Track Construction and Maintenance:

- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines during railway track construction and maintenance activities.

- Supervise and coordinate the work of laborers, technicians, and subcontractors involved in track laying, alignment, leveling, ballasting, and tamping operations.

- Conduct regular inspections of the tracks to identify and rectify any defects, such as track misalignment, excessive wear, or damaged components.

- Assist in the planning and execution of track renewal and rehabilitation projects, including track realignment and upgrading works.

2. Civil and Structural Engineering:

- Assist in the design and preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and structural engineering projects.

- Conduct site surveys and investigations to gather relevant data for project planning and execution.

- Assist in the supervision of construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

- Monitor the progress of construction projects, track work schedules, and report any deviations or delays to the project manager.

- Conduct quality control inspections and tests to ensure that the construction work meets the required standards.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and record drawings.

- Collaborate with the project team to prepare and review project plans, work schedules, and progress reports.

- Provide regular updates to the project manager and stakeholders regarding the status of ongoing projects.

- Assist in the preparation of final project reports, including as-built drawings and documentation.

4. Health and Safety:

- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all construction activities.

- Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a safe working environment.

- Identify and mitigate potential hazards or risks on the construction site.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering.

- Strong knowledge of railway track construction and maintenance techniques, as well as civil and structural engineering principles.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant software for technical drawings and design.

- Good understanding of construction codes, standards, and regulations.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
